1. Computer Permissions
To get started, go to System Settings -> Privacy -> Microphone and Camera. There will be two buttons under “Allow apps to use your camera / microphone.”
2. Browser Permissions:
In Google Chrome it is necessary to click the locker icon that is located beside the website address bar. After that, allow the use of the microphone and the camera.
3. If the guest is using wireless earpods, please check if the battery is full before entering the call
4. vMix Call Firewall and Requirements
The vMix Call platform is able to establish connections automatically through most of the firewalls, however, in some cases, the network administrator may need to allow access for the best results
TURN/STUN: Port 10349 UDP/TCP (outbound)
Video/Audio Streams: Dynamic Port Allocation UDP – 49152-65535 (inbound)
vMix Call can establish a connection with only TCP access to remote port 10349 (outbound)
However, audio and video will need to be routed via one of our remote servers; as a result, the quality of the call may be reduced.
NOTE: vMix does not provide or list IP addresses of our servers as these can change at any time due to redundancy and security requirements.
Therefore, if it is not possible to open the ports above in general on a restrictive firewall, vMix Call may not be able to be used.
